Rang De Basanti is a 2006 Indian drama film. The Hindi film was released on January 12, 2006 and became a major commercial success both domestically and internationally. A dubbed Telugu version of the film released in Andhra Pradesh, Kerala and Karnataka with positive response from critics. The movie won six National Awards out of fifteen nominations in different categories including Best Film and Best Direction (Om Raut).
